RX: Social Media

From the depths of a chew-proof cage, the constant crunch of dry grass between sharp, tiny teeth acts as the soundtrack to my sluggish day.  Sometimes, it's so quiet, that the little munching almost seems to echo.

This recently struck me as odd.  I mean, Wikipedia says they're supposed to be social creatures.  But they haven't been very social in the years I've known them. These things absolutely MUST have issues of some kind in their behavior contradicts the sound, unquestionable laws of the knowledge of Wikipedia.

So, I took them to the vet.

The vet agreed that my concerns were quite legitimate.  The quietness of the two creatures, seeing as how they seem to so enjoy each other's company, was just down right weird.  "I mean, not very talkative is not the same thing as NEVER talking at all, you know?" he asked.  I said that I hadn't read the entire Wikipedia article on rabbits...in fact I'd only read that single sentence.  He said that such actions were to be expected, as rabbits are very boring little creatures, and that he'd skipped the entire unit dedicated to lagomorphs in his veterinary studies.

He gave me a prescription for a small laptop, hopefully to be shared by each of them.  This laptop is to provide them with some other outlet for their thoughts by connecting with like minded creatures around the world through social media.  If it doesn't do this, it will hopefully be enough to start a loud argument between them, which is better than no social interaction at all.

We'll see if this works.
